Elorn Puppini

Founder
I am Elorn, 16 and in high school. My idea to create “Brushes of Hope” is driven by my love of children and my love of African art...
As a child, I traveled to many developing countries, playing with children who had so little compared to me and I remember feeling how unjust the world was and I didn’t understand why.

Then on my first trip to Africa, in Benin, I discovered and was captivated by the beautiful art there and by the children whose smiles melted my heart. When I met the children of Kibera Pride in Kenya, I also felt this same connection and loved their art. I left, determined to make a difference to their lives.
I am excited that Kristof, my childhood friend is joining me in this venture and grateful for the endorsement of Olivier Sultan, Director of Galerie Art Z, who has been promoting contemporary African art for 30 years.
Sarah Zaft Brushes of Hope

Sarah Zaft

Founder
I love Africa, and helping disadvantaged African children and young adults has always been a cause close to my heart.
During a visit to Nairobi with my son, when we first met kids and young adults in Kibera slum, their smiles, courage, and creativity stole my heart. Despite poverty, their dreams remain big. My son and I founded Brushes of Hope to offer them hope and show the whole world how inspirational they are.

Inspired by the passion of Elorn & Kristof I was moved to help them with their website...
It's amazing to see high school students changing lives! I love seeing the children empowered by not only creating artwork but also being given the opportunity to contribute to the fundraising.
